The Year of Roots is celebrated in Vietri di Potenza on Aug. 9 with a conference “Paths and Workshops from Tradition to Contemporary Creativity for Roots Tourism” to unveil the mural dedicated to Vietrians around the world.
Vietri di Potenza, also a city of olive oil, through the Percorso Tipica (Aug. 10-11), an event now in its 10th year, expands its offerings for Italian learners through a day of root workshops related to the production of homemade pasta and the artisanal making of wicker baskets.
Infine la degustazione di prodotti tipici rappresenta un momento importante di condivisione dei sapori legati alla tradizione per i tanti lucani residenti all’estero presenti nel paese.
