The Municipality of Roccanova celebrates the Year of Roots with Calici di Stelle, Wine Roots and the Grottino di Roccanova.
Thanks to the participation of the production entities in the village, associations and private individuals, within the appointments with the brand “Il Roccanovino” a lot of music, wine tasting and local products.
Central idea is to engage root tourists, local experts and Roccanovese living abroad to retrace “The Wine Routes,” retrieving documents, stories of personalities, and events that tell the story of wine and emigration in a multimedia document entitled “DOP. Protecting the Origins.”
Tastings of local products will be a direct result of “Food and Wine Roots Workshops” in which experts will hold classes on crafts, traditional wine-related practices, or cooking lessons on typical local dishes.
On Aug. 16 on the feast of San Rocco, an important occasion for the return of Roccanovese to the world, feast with the Musicaamanovella and share with the community the genealogical research and stories of distinguished Roccanovese.
