The Municipal Administration of Forenza (Pz) with the project “Festival of Roots” is among the entities

winners of the call for proposals sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

for the realization of cultural activities in favor of Italian-descendants around the world to be implemented on the occasion of the “2024 – Year of Italian roots

In this setting the “Day of the Emigrant and Peasant Civilization – Reflections on the Migration Phenomenon,” an event that will be articulated with a concert by a harp trio and two violins and a

debate with insights and reflections on the migration phenomenon in Forenza over the past century,

at Vico Casalotto, one of the most picturesque places in the ancient Lucanian village, on August 11, 2024. The initiative will be carried out by IANUS in collaboration with the Proloco of Forenza.

For the occasion, visitors, wandering into the alleys of the old town will enjoy the suggestions offered by the views, admiring the museum of rural civilization, the many “sentine” preciously decorated in recent years.
