Several initiatives are planned for the event organized by the City of Colobraro, which will allow tourists and returning Colobrians to celebrate and promote the traditions, history and heritage of local communities and their ancestry. The festival will offer participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in ancestral customs, exploring their origins and connecting with their cultural heritage.
It will begin on the 10th, at 4 p.m., with a narrative walk through the alleys and streets of Colobraro’s historic center that will allow participants to learn about the history of the town and the stories that tell it.
Following this, at 6 p.m., in the setting of the belvedere of Piazza Elena, the opening conference of the Festival will be held, which will be attended by Nicola Lista, Mayor of Colobraro; Concetta Sarlo, City Councilwoman; Carmine Cassino, Research Fellow at DiSU Unibas; and Carmen Petruzzi, Lecturer at the University of Foggia.
At 9 p.m., space will then be given to the talk “Popular Identities Abroad” with the participation of Mimì Coviello, Coordinator of the Scientific Technical Committee of the Nino Calice Center of Lucanians in the World.
The program for the following day, Sunday 11, will include a new narrative walk at 4 p.m., at 6 p.m. the telling of expat testimonies titled “What does it mean to be colobraresi elsewhere?”, and will conclude at 7 p.m. with a dialogue between City Councilwoman Concetta Sarlo and writer and journalist Sergio Ragone on the concept of “Basilicata #luogoideal, based on the series of books “I Luoghi Ideali” (Universosud Edizioni) written by Ragone.
